Sex Offenders - What are the Levels of Offenses?

A sexual assault is a very traumatic experience and can affect a woman for the rest of her life.  It is a sexual violation on a woman's body that can make a woman's life pure hell, especially if she falls in love.  Many women have a very difficult time being submissive to their lovers or to their husbands, and often times the relationship or marriage ends.  But it doesn't have to end.  With counselling and a good support group of church, family and friends, a woman can gain her life back and become a part of society, without fear, once again.

Revenge isn't the answer, but rather letting the law do what it does best will stop the offender from possibly doing it ever again.  Of course there are no guarantees in life, but making yourself aware of the penalties for such an offense will give you assurance that the offender is being punished; although many of us believe it isn't enough.

Wikipedia described sexual assault as follows:  "Sexual assault as an assault of a sexual nature on another person, or any sexual act committed without consent.  Although sexual assaults most frequently are by a man on a woman, it may be by a man on a man, woman on a man or woman on a woman, adult on a child, adult on an adult, child on a child or child on an adult."  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_assault

A sex offender is anyone who has been convicted of a sex offense, or a person who has been adjudicated as a youthful offender, a delinquent juvenile by reason of committing a sex offense, a person who has been released from prison or who is paroled or on probation with supervision. It is a serious offense.

Sex offenders are classified in accordance with the degree of dangerousness to the public and likelihood to commit the offense again. There are actually 4 levels of classification.  Find out what they are by clicking on the link below:
